Government Printing Office
-
"The U.S. Government Printing Office disseminates official information from all three branches of the Federal Government." This site allows searches of Congressional Bills, the Congressional Record, and Supreme Court Decisions, but I find most useful the Executive documents, especially the President's Public Papers and the Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents

Thomas
-
A division of the Library of Congress, Thomas is a good place to look up information of legislation. The have the full text of all public laws and summaries of bills dating back to the 93rd (1973-1974) Congress, and full text of all bills back to the 101st (1989-1990).

White House Press Office
-
A compendium of White House press releases and news briefs. Faster to navigate than the GPO press releases. Since this is the White House website, it only deals with the current (i.e. Bush) administration.
-
Legal Information Institute
-
The web address suggests this is an organization of the Cornell Law School. Browse or search the U.S. code. A particularly nice feature is the listing by "common name."
